Ekom Udofia, DT, Stanford

Stanford Senior

PROS: He has good size to develop as a plugger and space eater. Can hold the point of attack and shows ability to make plays in a short area. Has a good motor. Can get some push off the snap and has a decent swim move.
CONS: Has a poor first step and quickness. Has very limited range to make plays away from the line of scrimmage. Can't get much penetration as a pass rusher. Struggles against quality competition and double teams.
OVERVIEW: Udofia has good NFL size to play the nose in a 3-4 scheme, but is a limited player.
NFL FORECAST: Udofia can be impressive at times against lesser competition, but anytime he faced decent competition, he was virtually a non-factor. He fits best in a 3-4 scheme, where he can be a nice two-gap player that can occupy blockers and eat space. But he doesn't have the disruptive abilities to be anything more than a decent backup in the scheme. He's really a developmental player that lacks the upside to be anything more than a backup. He's good enough to stick, but not good enough to think he'll be a significant contributor.
ATL FORECAST: Udofia would add size to the Falcons rotation, but really not that much more than what Lewis or Walker add, and he would give almost nothing to the Falcons on passing downs, even less than those two players. So he is a body in camp.
VALUE: A 3-4 team might think about taking him late in the seventh round, but he's so limited in terms of his upside that he should go undrafted.
