The Falcons made some moves to the practice squad and adding Randall was among those moves.

Christian Morton - Signed to active roster.

That's what I suggested in the pre-season. He never saw the field though.

Hines Ward was actually a receiver first, but I digress. If he can catch the ball well then I would be down with that, but I never thought he was very fast?

I think Randall was like a 4.45 guy. I'll poke around and try and find out.

Holy crap was I off. Randall is fast....... For a Defensive End:

- SI.com has him at a 4.78 forty time.(http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/football/2005/draft/players/55824.html)
- VT's official site has him at a 4.54. (http://www.hokiesports.com/football/players/2004/randall.b.html)
- NFL.com has him at a 4.66 to a 4.69 (http://www.nfl.com/draft/analysis/individual_workouts#vt)

He might make a decent slot receiver since the slot usually doesn't require a ton of speed.

Doesn't Morton have an INT?

Morton has 2 PD's but no INT's. I believe Morton was moved to the PS last week because Smith and Davis were out injured and they needed another D-Lineman on the active roster.

Ward was called 'slash' in college (it was the same time as Kordell's reign in PIT)
