:D Even if we lose I come away from this game knowing we got a lot stronger up the middle this year with Hartwell. We're still having problems with the outside run, which is more of a CB/OLB/S issue.

Not until the second half. Alexander got 116 of his 144 rushing yards in the first half. Everyone was horrible in the first half.

Not up the middle though. Most of his yardage came outside and that should be more the DE/OLB's responsibility. Hartwell's main focus is the A, B, & C gaps on each side...

I don't think Hartwell had the impact this week as he did last week, but it is clear our run defense is significantly improved when he's in the game.

But it really doesn't help us if all any opponent has to do is use 3 and 4-WR sets to get him off the field. I was very surprised how easily the Seahawks ran on us when they used standard 2-WR sets.

I think this was because we didn't win the battle upfront today. Our D-line had one of the worse performances I've seen from the unit in a long time.

Our D-line just looked small out there, no pop in them against the big boys and losing Smith really threw off their play. DeMo looked good however, man the guy is fast.
