Can someone give me the hit we are taking by cutting Price and a good estimate on what the difference wouldve been if we had cut him this time NEXT year.

Check out the features link on the falcfans main page and go to the cap information. Capologist has kindly outlined the salary figures for all Falcon's through the next couple years. To determine Price's cap hit total up his signing bonus through the end of his contract and that is his total hit.

As I understand it we are charged $2 million this year and about $5.6 million next year. Since we cut him after June 1st we basically split the bill over two seasons. Prior to June 1st we would have received the full bill this season and the books clear next season.

Am I right on that one cap?

*Total bonuses to be earned through 2009 by Price (assuming no spike in 09): $7.1 million (roughly).

Right around $5.7 million is the hit and had we cut him before June 1st next season it would have been the same. After June 1st next season would have been around $2 million with $3.7 in dead money for 2007
