...that we don't have any rookies signed and the 49ers don't even have their #1 pick signed. When we didn't have VIck signed until like 2 weeks after the draft, it was odd. Last year, Manning I don't believe was signed until early July. But now it's only a few weeks before training camp, and the 49ers don't have the #1 pick signed. That goes to show just how close the 49ers were to not drafting Smith this past April. Their preemptive contract negotiatons were very tentative.
