Superbowl prediction 2014

Postby DaveWaz » Fri Aug 29, 2014 7:18 pm

My super bowl prediction, which is typically a kiss of death for whoever I choose for 2014 is............... Denver vs Seattle .......Yeah I know I'm really going out on a limb, but that's what I think. Let's get your pics on record.

I'll change it up and say Denver vs San Fran. :P

San Fran has too many suspensions and offensive deficiencies to get home field imho and they won't be Seattle in Seattle...

I considered New England, but when they traded away their captain to the Bucs it showed they aren't in a full win now mode..... Though they would be my second choice.

I realize San Fran as some key players out but I think certain players will step up and when it matters most the playoffs will get the team over the hump. Seattle looks like a juggernaut team but it is so difficult to repeat I'm going against them going to the Super bowl.

DIsagree. If they can stay healthy, by year's end, they are gonna be able to compensate for Mankins' loss. Hallmarks of Belichick-coached teams:

1. They get better as the season progresses
2. They will take away whatever you do best.

Last year, all the injuries that hit them really sapped them by the time they reached AFC Championship. If they are in vicinity of full strength (i.e. guys like Revis, Mayo, Wilfork, Brady, Gronk, etc. are able to play in January), they will be an extremely tough out for a team like Denver, the other obvious AFC favorite.

Alright I am going to change my pic at least in the NFC. Looking at the 49ers they have a number of new players plus Aldon Smith out for 9 games. I'm going to go with Green Bay vs Denver. I just think Seattle had everything go right last year and will have the bulls eye on their back this year. Denver will be out to prove a point and Manning I'm sure wants some revenge. Adding the players Denver did in the off season just makes them that much tougher.
