...Antone Smith is leading the Falcons in receiving so far today but not one touch on the ground.

And T.J. Yates knows this is the deciding performance for his fate in Atlanta. So far, 8/9 for 201 yards and 2 TD's.

Yates had a nice first half. Looked a lot more comfortable and confident. But he got a big boost statistically from Antone Smith's 60+ yard TD on the screen.

...at this point, I would choose Yates over Matthews, but not over Renfree. I have to admit Renfree has won me over.

get out your tinfoil, fellas.

how 'bout this scenario?:

Yates looked pretty good for the first half of last nights game. Good film.

The Rams are in a tough spot: they lost their franchise QB and they may have to cut the Micheal Sam which could cause them problems.

Solution?

Trade Yates for Micheal Sam.

Why not? Atlanta is the largest gay community behind San Fran per capita, and #3 in population behind NYC. I think us and New Orleans would be a good fit for him.

They are thin at backup QB, and we are thin at DE. Not saying he's gonna make the roster, but I would stash him on the practice squad.

It's a win-win. Blank gets a PR boost. The Rams avoid backlash. The guy stays in the league. We get some depth at DE. And, the Rams just showed how to deal with the 'circus', you just shame them into compliance. Hell, even ESPN is walking on eggshells now.

If Ryan goes down, were screwed regardless.

Bring him Homo! ( not that theres anything wrong with that )

*caveat: I know if the Rams outright cut him, then anyone can claim him. But I think he has played himself onto a roster somewhere. That place might be here. I could see him getting picked up by the Cowboys or the Giants if he gets released. just sayin'

No. We can get more for Yates than a Sam (7th rounder) Mute point anyway, Yates made the team last night.

If you think the Falcons can get more for Yates than a 7th round talent, you're wrong AJ51. We'd be lucky to get a conditional 7th round pick if we tried to trade Yates today.
