Not really sure on the packages you guys are being offered, any idea what the costs are to come over (flights, accomodation, tickets etc) and what's included?
Obviously as a fan I'm stoked the Falcons are coming over but naturally I was a bit concerned about us losing homefield advantage for the game so I looked at past UK games -
'07 Giants (10-6) W @ Dolphins (1-15)L
'08 Chargers (8-8) L @ Saints (8-8) W
'09 Pats (10-6) W @ Tampa (3-13) L
'10 Broncos (4-12) L @ 49ers (6-10) W
'11 Bears (8-8) W @ Tampa (4-12) L
'12 Pats (12-4) W @ Rams (7-8-1) L
'13 49ers (12-4) W @ Jags (4-12) L
Steelers (8-8) L @ Vikings (5-10-1) W
Admittedly, when you first look at it you'll notice plenty of home team losses but in a lot of cases they were teams that were bad / having bad years - 07 , 09 , 11 and 13 Jags, The 2012 Rams had an average year but were unfortunate in facing a 12-4 Patriots side.
Of the 3 'home' teams that won, the records were all fairly close but in the case of the Vikings they had a slightly worse record but still came away with the win so that's at least a bit encouraging.
In summary, if the Falcons come to London in the same form as last year then we're less likely to win, if we're doing ok I think we stand a good chance
time will tell I guess.
Obviously it's all hopes, dreams, speculation and optimism at this point but hey, what else are we guna do during the off season.
Should be fun either way watching arguably the best receivers in the league face off against each other.
