If I were drafting with the players available in order in your mock Pudge I would choose the following.

1.Barr
2.Jenkins
3.Hyde
4.Brandon Thomas

I had a hard choice between Borland and Thomas but went with off line. Thomas could have gone in the 2nd round maybe if he wasn't injured. He'll be groomed to replace Blaylock after this year. Hyde is a bruising running back to get reps this year with Jackson and replace him next. Jenkins I think can be a Gronkowski type of player offering good blocking and moving the chains plus a red zone threat. Barr will have to hope he gets stronger but as the tools to be a top linebacker.

Went right for the kicked-in-the-balls scenario, eh?

Wouldn’t mind Barr as the pick because he has so much potential and if developed he could be a 10 sack guy with ease. I know that that is a big if, since the Falcons track record developing talent has been disappointing. I don’t know if I could take Bucannon if Jimmie Ward is still on the board I feel he is better in coverage than Bucannon. Solid mock Pudge.

Barr's fast, but his game tape looks like he has less control over his movements than an elite talent like Mack. If he's there and the ball's there, he makes the play. If it isn't bang-bang, it seems to get dicey. He also looks like he may draw a few UR 15s for late hits.

With 12-15? Sure. With 6 . . . well, if the draft goes as described above, I suppose I'll have to live with it.

Pudge, do you think there will be a FalcFans draft contest this year?

I just feel like you draft potential and then develop it. Outside of Clowney no one has more potential on the Defensive side of the ball.

I know last year I promised to do something, but honestly I have been proceeding the past few weeks as if nothing is going to happen.

But I know how you guys love it, so maybe I can scrape together something and hook the winner up with a jersey or something. 8-)

Atl's record of development is not good.

I stated that in my first post. If we do draft Barr I am banking on Bryan Cox being better than Ray Hamilton.
