The Falcons cut ties with FB Bradie Ewing

Postby The Mattural » Fri Mar 21, 2014 9:46 pm

The news broke via twitter. It sucks, because he never really got a shot due to being injured. Just one more reason to not waste draft picks on FBs.

He got a shot. He just wasn't very good.

I don't think that he wasn't very good. Matter of fact, he seems to be pretty darn good while he was in there. But he obviously could not stay healthy. Sucks to be him.

Another Falcon draft pick bites the dust.

If this didn't happen as much as it did around here Atlanta might not have fallen as far as they did last year.

Seems to be a very down to earth guy. Hate he couldn't stay healthy and really see what he was capable of.

On the cap side, it's $96k of dead money that takes the Falcons to $10.1mil in cap space pre-Hester...

It's hard to tell how good he was since his sample size was literally 4 games, half of which were preseason games.

But the Falcons got decent production from Mike Cox in 2012 and DiMarco last year. Not to mention, Snelling was always good when he has been asked to fill in at FB over the years. It was a terribly, dumb pick which illustrates how short-sighted our front office is.
