Giants cut Peterson

Postby Pudge » Sat May 27, 2006 1:52 am

This is only interesting to me because the Giants have done this before, cut a player in the off-season when they didn't think they would be able to play, and that player wound up being fine. I'm referring to Barry Stokes who played with us last year.

Peterson is a talented cornerback. A big guy that has never quite lived up to expectations, but when healthy he's been a good player. He played in only 2 games last year, and has been battling a back injury.

I'm just think perhaps the Falcons should be interested if Peterson clears waivers and work him out since the Giants have made a "mistake" before on these matters.

almost every team has made a mistake on player evals especially when it comes to injuries. Peterson only played in two games last year which is a huge red flag.

If we haven't gambled on Ahmed Plummer yet who Mora coached in SF and who was considered better than Webster (but also an injury red flag), then I really doubt we make a play for Peterson.
