2nd round targets...

Postby SmorgasBorgnine » Fri Apr 26, 2013 9:09 am

Tank Carradine and Margus Hunt still out there, but I think the team is content with who they have. I am thinking we are going after LB help now. Guess they will look at Arthur Brown or Sio Moore.

Ertz is still there... I doubt he falls to Atlanta but weirder things have happened.

Outside of that... Okafor, Carradine are still there. I wouldn't be opposed to going after another corner this high either since you'r looking for a nickel back anyways which someone like Taylor could fill nicely.

There are still some interesting offensive tackles on the board as well.

I would not be surprised at all to see the Falcons move up again today as well. If they are indeed looking to fill holes where they need starters it makes more sense to burn our later picks to get the best available talent for the DL/LB/OL in the 2nd round.

I'd rather draft 2 guys that will start day one and have an impact vs. 9 guys that only 1 might be an impact starter and the rest are rotational at best.

This of course is with the logic that Atlanta feels they are 1 or 2 players away from making it to the Super Bowl. If that is the case use next years draft to start building depth again.
