 Man, thats about as stout as you get from a CB playing the run. Work on that technique and he should be the starter imo. Plus that'd let us leave Grimes covering the slot, which I prefer w/ his size.

FWIW, I ck'd some HDouglas clips as well, geez, I forgot how fast he was. I was already super super high on his potential, but now I'm even moreso.

I've been saying that since Grimes has been a factor on this squad! :)

I think that our secondary will be much improved. I think that the camp battle between Grimes and Owens will be a good one. As much as I like Grimes, I think that Owens will take the 2nd CB spot. Grimes in the nickel would be a good fit though.

More Pudge 'hate' on Grimes

Still, I have nothing against Owens, and he may very well start, but I will also say this, Grimes is also a great tackler, so don't sell him short there.

He may well win the spot. He was impressive in the limited time he had. I'm more nervous about Robinson stinking again and being left out there due to his contract than Grimes or Owens on the otherside.

I've loved Ownes since he's runs right by me on kickoffs (he's on the end) and he's really fast on the field
and as Pudge said, he's physical..... He really got better as the season went on!!

Grimes is a good tackler. Don't oversell him there. He breaks down and uses good technique on his tackling, but he still hits like he's 180 pounds. Owens hits like he's 10-15 pounds heavier.
