Yes, there are 8 games in there against current playoff teams. But considering that this past year we had 6 games against '04 playoff teams (and managed a 3-3 record in those games), it doesn't mean a lot to me. Especially when you factor in that only 5 of the 12 playoffs teams in '04 returned in '05 (the Seahawks were the lone one from the NFC).

So it may look slightly daunting now, but we may find out that in '06, only 3 or 4 of the teams we play become playoff teams.

And considering half of those playoff opponent games are with division rivals, and the other half are against 4 teams (Steelers, Giants, Bengals, and Redskins) that probably won't be Super Bowl champs at least this year, I'm not too nervous.

And then when you look at teams that possess defenses that are geared to slowing our offense containing the 3 key elements:

1) Strong weak-side pass rusher
2) Fast and rangy linebackers
3) Solid run defense

Besides Carolina & TB, basically it's only the Giants, Steelers, and Eagles. You could possibly throw in the Cardinals (they've stopped Vick before) and maybe the Ravens and Bengals, but both of those teams have some improvements they need to make before I start fearing them.

On their good days, the Falcons are among the league's best. So I'm not too worried about the opponents until I see when we play them.

Its stupid to look at schedules now. We did this last year and almost everyone said we would most likely loose 4 of our first 6. Well.....noone predicted we would start 6-2 and finish 2-6. Everyone said we would start bad and finish strong.

And I am not scared of the Eagles. The team is self destructing, trust me. Not to mention Reid has been stripped of his GM title and their OC is now the Head Coach of Minnesota.

At the beginning of the year we thought we had a cream-puff schedule and Tampa wouldn't be a playoff team. Oh how wrong did we think?

Well, dirty I said that Tampa would go to the playoffs, but only if Cadillac got off to a fast start. He did, and my prediction was right. :D

I think next year isn't any worse than any other year. Our division games, well, 4 of them at least (TB and CAR) are going to be tough as usual.
