Weekly Injury Report

Postby dirtybirdnw » Fri Dec 09, 2005 3:35 pm

I'm also going to make this a sticky so it doesn't keep cluttering up the boards.

Week 14

Atlanta
CB Allen Rossum, Knee, Questionable
DE Brady Smith, Toe, Questionable

New Orleans of San Antonio
SS Steve Gleason, Neck, Questionable
WR Lance Moore, Hamstring, Questionable

Of course the Saints go without Duece McAllister which is far greater then any other single injury could affect this team.

That's 5 starters for the Bears that are injured.

If Metcalf doesn't start, it likely means Roberto Garza will start for the Bears at RG, and means that he will be going up against Rod Coleman. That could prove to be a favorable matchup. But Metcalf has been saying that he expects to play.

Backup safety Todd Johnson I hear is also questionable for this week's game, which means the Bears top 3 safeties may not play. Add to that Hillenmeyer being less than 100%, it opens up opportunities for Crumpler in the middle of the field. That should be a focus of Knapp & Co. this week.

Week 16

Atlanta
DE Brady Smith, Toe, Doubtful
DT Antwan Lake, Shoulder, Questionable
CB Allen Rossum, Knee, Questionable

Tampa
C Scott Jackson, Illness, Out
TE Anthony Becht, Ankle, Questionable
LB Marquis Cooper, Chest, Questionable
DT Anthony McFarland, Hamstring, Questionable
OT Kenyatta Walker, Shoulder, Probable

I don't think a lot of Forney but losing him against Tampa could be pretty devastating. He is arguably our best offensive lineman. For Tampa if they go with out Becht and McFarland it will put us in a better spot. Especially if McFarland sits.

Forney and Carpenter are off the Injured list

First Paragraph...Jim Mora: Injury report: We took off Keion (Carpenter) and Kynan Forney. Everyone else is the same as yesterday. We had a good practice today; I thought the guys had a lot of energy. We had some fun out there and executed well. I think we're excited to get down there and play Tampa.
