FalcFans FFL Updates

Postby dirtybirdnw » Tue Nov 22, 2005 4:08 pm

Both leagues have 3 weeks until the playoffs start....

ESPN FalcFan League Standings
#1 Cowtown Convicts (7-4)
#2 Team Action Jacksons (7-4)
#3 NFL Champs (7-4)
#4 3 And Out (7-4)
#5 Team Bombers (6-5)
#6 Run The Option (6-5)
#7 Vancouver Trappers (5-6)
#8 Blow Out (5-6)
#9 Eastside Scrappers (3-8)
#10 Team 4 (2-9)

Playoffs: This league has 6 total playoff slots (3 from the NFC and AFC) and as it stands right now the NFC will send Convicts, Option, Trappers to the playoffs. The AFC will send Action Jacksons, And Out, and NFL Champs to the playoffs. The races are tight with three teams tied for the top spot in the AFC while the top 4 teams in the NFC are seperated by 2 games and only one team is totally out of the race. Just like in the NFL the AFC in this league has been more competitive.

1st Round Matchups:
Cowtown & Action Jacksons get a BYE
Trappers vs. Option
And Out vs. NFL Champs

FOXSports League Standings
#1 Vancouver Trappers
#2 Gloryhounds
#3 Muddogs
#4 New World Order
#5 Duluth Doormats
#6 Headless Poultry
#7 PoRnoGraff
#8 Caskey
#9 Atlanta Loves Vick
#10 Absolute Vicktory

Playoffs: Same as the ESPN league however there are no divisions in the FOX league so the Top 6 teams go.

1st Round Matchups
Vancouver Trappers and Gloryhounds have the BYE
Duluth Doormats vs. Headless Poultry
Muddogs vs. New World Order

PornoGraff & Caskey are still in the mix.

Good luck everyone!

You also have to face a re-invigorated Trappers with a completely healthy roster. I lost one game by not setting my roster and at least two games due to mass injuries. I'm fighting for a playoff birth and your going down!

It's remote but the Trappers stand a chance of sweaping both leagues. Buahahahahah.

Action Jacksons on a roll with crappy runningbacks!

All I can say is Steve Smith has been ridiculous this year...

Dirty, are you going to make this a keeper league next year? If you do.. my vote would be to move it over to Sporstline... their fantasy is alot better.

:: mosey's on over to Sportsline ::

I don't see anything about a keeper league on their website. Their Commissioner package is $149.95 so it would put a $15 per team tarrif to join and I'd like to keep it free. Unless someone wants to donate $149.95. Of course if we had some big gamblers on the board we could do the Gold League and have a $40 entry free for a $200 prize.

I'm open to anything just so long as we can assemble 10 players from this board. Both leagues are a hodge podge of FalcFans, AF.com users, my friends, and other folks. Of course ESPN screwing us in the live draft department didn't help.

I believe ESPN's keeper leagues are $99.95 per team.

There is a nifty deal on whatifsports.com that you can become a college head coach of any existing college (All the way down to DIII). You can then recruit players, set the depth chart, make new defense and offense settings. In addition to that you have to deal with players getting in trouble, injuries, and everything else that comes along with being a college football program. I think you are in it as long as you want to be. The cost is $10.95 per.

They also have a sim league for NFL level football which is a single season were you draf the entire team. Compete in a 16 game season with a 4 week playoff and championship game. This is a league that has both past and present players. That is $8.99.

They are ideas to keep life entertaining in the off-season.

I'm not sure if he's on my team in our league but Larry Johnson has been my best pick all year...I said at the beginning of the year that him and Steve Smith were the two biggest sleepers and I picked them up on almost every team I have....it's worked out great!!!!

I got Larry & Priest in the FOX league and it should pay off here if I can get into the playoffs, but I am in desperate need of a QB.
