PROS: Has good hands and uses his body well to shield defender away from the ball. Has the speed to challenge downfield and gets a good release off the line. Has good brust and quickness and shows potential as a route-runner. Can be a physical runner after the catch. Blocks well downfield, and can get the seal on the linebacker on the edge.
CONS: Needs to get stronger as a blocker and improve his technique. Will overextend at times and lose leverage at the point of attack.
OVERVIEW: Continues steady tradition of solid ex-Badger tight ends in the league. A three-year starter that split the past two years with Travis Beckum, and his last year working across from Lance Kendricks. Had best year as a senior with 51 catches and 7 scores. He works mainly as their inline regular tight end rather than H-back.
NFL FORECAST: Graham is a similar player to Owen Daniels, another ex-Badger. He probably fits best as an H-back on the next level because he doesn't have great size and is not yet big or strong enough to be a consistent factor as an inline tight end. But if he can bulk up and improve his blocking, he shouldn't be a liability there. The key to his success will be his receiving ability. And in the right offense he can be very productive. I don't think he'll be as good as Daniels has been in recent years, but he should be a guy that can give a team 30-50 catches on a fairly consistent basis each year. He won't be a go-to weapon, but a nice third option for most NFL offenses. He is a good player that should be an above average to good NFL tight end.
ATL FORECAST: Graham could come to Atlanta and be a nice successor to Tony Gonzalez. Like Gonzo, he won't ever be a top blocker, but should be competent enough to start and play every down with a few years in an NFL weight room. Again, he won't be a go-to option for Matt Ryan in the Falcons offense, but could be a nice outlet receiver. If he can improve his route-running, he could be a matchup problem for a lot of NFL defenses, and a reliable option to have on third downs.
VALUE: Graham should be a solid starter that should go in the third or fourth round.
