Naaman Roosevelt
Buffalo Senior

PROS: Has nice hands and good body control. Shows nice awareness and ability to make the grab on the sideline. Is an effective blocker at times because of his size.
CONS: Will body catch at times. Gives only perfunctory effort as a blocker. Needs to polish up his route-running and get a better release off the line.
OVERVIEW: Has good size. Was most productive as a junior, and his production dipped as a senior, but probably due to a change from a senior QB (Drew Willy) to a sophomore (Zach Maynard). Had 104 catches and 13 touchdowns as a junior, and 70 catches and 9 as a senior.
NFL FORECAST: Roosevelt has potential to develop as a reserve receiver. But he's going to have to improve his route-running in order to get the necessary separation at the next level since he's not blessed with ideal speed. If he can play and impact early on special teams, he has a chance to stick. But if not, then he's going to bounce around as a journeyman and practice squad player. If he can stick early, I think in a few years, he could improve enough as a reserve to be a capable backup. He's just a possession-type wideout that can give you 20-30 catches off the bench, most likely as a No. 4 guy.
ATL FORECAST: If he can prove himself to be able to make an impact early on as a special teams guy in coverage, then he can stick in Atlanta as a long-term option as the No. 4 receiver. His skillset is comparable to Brian Finneran's, but he's going to have to show significant improvement as a route runner and blocker for him to add similar value. But he can be a fairly good option on offense if he can improve there.
VALUE: Roosevelt would make a nice seventh round pickup because of his potential to be better on offense than comparable talent. But taking him before that is a reach because of the relatively low probability of him contributing as a rookie.
