Marcus Easley - WR - Connecticut Height: 6'3 Weight: 210 40 Time: 4.38 Projected: 5th-6th
Positives:
- Great combination of size and speed - Has great deep speed - Gets good separation on deep passes - Has the ability to track the ball over his shoulder - Great jumper and high points passes - Size helps him on jump balls - Strong hands - Uses his size well when blocking - Extremely hard-worker, was a walk-on
Negatives:
- Only 1 year of good productivity - Inconsistent with his route running, needs some work - Needs to cut down on his steps when breaking down - Long strider, takes awhile to reach full speed - Isn't agile and can't make quick cuts - Stumbles coming out of his breaks and loses speed through his route - Has a tendency to catch passes with his body - Doesn't go over the middle a lot
Overview:
Marcus Easley is yet another story of a hard worker who gave it his all to make it. He was a walk-on and didn't get his chance until his senior year. He blew up though and came out of no where and had a very productive year. He got most of his yards on deep passes or quick screens to get him the ball in space. He still needs a lot of work on his route running as he too often stumbles and slows down a lot coming out of breaks. Despite his strong hands, he has a tendency to catch passes with his chest when he really doesn't have to. He has a lot of potential and with his work ethic can make an impact after a year or two in the NFL.
