PROS: Has good speed, burst and quickness to make guys miss in the open field. Does a good job juking defenders on the second level. Has nice north-south burst and quickness through hole. Runs hard for his size, and not shy about contact. Shows nice hands.
CONS: Doesn't have the pop or power to break any tackles. Dances a bit too much. Not sure he can hold up physically as an inside runner consistently. Needs to improve his concentration as a receiver out of the backfield, not looking the ball in consistently. Struggles in pass protection.
OVERVIEW: He's a quick, big play back that has potential as a third down back.
NFL FORECAST: He'll never be an every down guy, but in a few years as he improves in pass protection he could develop into a nice change of pace guy and third down option. But he'll have to improve in the passing game. As of today, he doesn't stand much of a chance there at the next level. But if he works hard, after a year or two, I think he could make substantial improvement to get opportunities. He best fits as a runner in a zone-blocking scheme. Doesn't have great size, and probably could use some more muscle to his body since he has that lanky frame like Jerious Norwood. But he runs hard, so while he won't be a big factor as an inside runner, it won't be because he's soft. I don't think he'll ever be a top back in the passing game, but could develop into a nice change of pace back a few years down the road. He'll be more of a quality depth guy rather than an option that a team tries to utilize on a weekly basis.
ATL FORECAST: He could compete here in Atlanta. But he's not good enough on passing downs to contribute much right away. He'd only be able to stick once Norwood is off the roster. And he's not going to be as explosive a runner as Norwood is, but could be a nice complementary option that gets some carries in the offense. He'd be a good backup, but won't be used as a weapon like Norwood is on a weekly basis.
VALUE: He's a late round pick that should go to a team in the sixth or seventh round that is looking to add some depth and speed to the roster.
